Long-Term Disability

Long-term disability benefits are commonly offered by employers in Ontario and are designed to help those who are unable to work for an indefinite period of time as a result of injury or illness.

Your insurer will require that you first complete an application and provide the relevant medical information and participate in treatment or rehabilitation.

While the wording and coverage provided by each policy is different, you may receive between 50%-85% of your monthly income, the test for eligibility, if you qualify, will also likely change after two years.

If your claim for long-term disability benefits has been denied or terminated, contact Michael Yermus and the team at Yermus & Associates for your free consultation so that you can get the compensation that you deserve.
